Charged formultiple robbery

A BERWICK man has been charged with five armed robberies that took place in Melbourne’s inner north in less than a week.
Detectives from Melbourne Embona taskforce charged the 31-year-old man after a North Carlton florist was targeted three times in the past week and a Fitzroy ice-creamery was hit twice.
The man was arrested and charged with all five robberies on Monday afternoon.
A 26-year-old man from Fitzroy has also been charged.
The pair were remanded in custody and set to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Wednesday).
