A PETITION with nearly 150 signatures was presented to Casey Council last week calling for the speed limit along Kurrajong Road in Narre Warren to be reduced.
Edrington Ward councillor Simon Curtis handed over the petition at last week’s council meeting.
According to Cr Curtis, some of the petitioners were also requesting traffic-calming devices be installed along the road. Oatlands Primary School principal Stuart Daly said he had seen several drivers exceeding the speed limit along the road outside his school.
“We do need something to slow them down,” he said. A report is set to come back to the council by end November.
