Man dragged for handbag

A 17-YEAR-OLD man suffered facial injuries after an assault in Berwick last weekend.
According to police, the man and an 18-year-old woman were in a parked car along Panoramic Terrace at 1.30am on Saturday when two men in a white car, believed to be a VY or VZ Holden Commodore, pulled up next to them.
Police said the car had no registration plates.
One of the men approached the car and struck up a conversation with the 17-year-old.
Police said the man returned to his vehicle and then a short time later both men came up and dragged the 17-year-old out of the car and began assaulting him while on the ground.
One of the men stole a handbag from the car before driving off from the scene.
Both offenders have been described as of Maori descent with solid builds and about 178cm in height.
Anyone with information is urged to call Leading Senior Constable Reuben McAllister at the Casey CIU on 9705 3111.
