RESIDENTS will have greater access to justice with the opening of a new justice service centre in Berwick.
The centre, located at 12 Wheeler Street, is set to provide locals with a one-stop shop for assistance with legal problems.
Parliamentary Secretary for Justice Brian Tee says the centre marks the start of a new era in the Southern Metro Region where face-to-face justice services will be available on the doorstep of local communities.
“The centre will assist people in managing their fine payments and community correction orders, and will provide consumer advice, dispute resolution services, Koori support and refugee-based justice programs,” Mr Tee said.
