HUNDREDS of people across the City of Casey paused for a moment last Wednesday to remember our fallen soldiers.
Remembrance Day ceremonies were held at memorials and cenotaphs across the district. Schools, aged care homes and workplaces also stopped for a minute’s reflection at 11am.
The Berwick RSL sub branch held a service at the memorial in High Street, Berwick, from 10.45am.
Schools, community groups, politicians and the public were present for the ceremony and many laid wreaths and poppies at the memorial.
Marking the end of World War 1, Remembrance Day has been a tradition in many countries since 1919.
