Five face charges

FIVE people face criminal damage charges after club rooms at a Narre Warren South tennis club were damaged by fire on Sunday morning.
Police said vandals entered the Amberley Park Tennis Club, which was under construction, in School Court about 4.30am.
According to police, the vandals tipped over a roller machine used to compress the playing surface and then took wood from a nearby building site and set fire to the machine causing about $20,000 damage.
The group also smashed windows of nearby club rooms as well.
The five men, four aged 16 and one 18-years-old, face charges of criminal damage.
The 18-year-old from Narre Warren South was charged by police and bailed to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 19 March 2010
The other four are expected to be charged on summons over the incident.
