A 75-YEAR-OLD Devon Meadows man selling flowers on the side of the road was robbed of his cash box in Endeavour Hills last week, police said.
An unknown male approached the man about 1.20pm on 19 December on Heatherton Road, east of Power Road, where the man had a flower stall.
The offender demanded cash from the 75-year-old and struck him on the left knee with a baseball bat, causing him to fall to the ground, police said.
The offender ran off with the man’s cash box.
Detective Senior Constable Shane Moodie from the Frankston Police Station said police wanted information on a vehicle the offender appeared to have left in.
There was a man in the driver’s seat and the offender got in the car at Chalcot Drive after the assault.
The vehicle is believed to be a white or light blue older car.
Anyone with information can contact Detective Senior Constable Shane Moodie at Frankston Police Station on 9784 5555.
