Gather for prayer

HUNDREDS of people are expected at the Romanian Christian Pentecostal Church Philadelphia in Narre Warren North as it hosts the national convention for the Romanian community.
The convention is an annual event for the Romanian community in Australia at which Romanians from around the country gather for worship and fellowship.
Pastor of the Narre Warren North church, Gabriel Pal, said everyone was welcome to attend the convention, which would take place from 15 to 17 January.
Special guests from Romania and America, including pastor Luigi Mitoi, who is the pastor of one of the largest Romanian churches in the USA, will attend.
“We would like to invite the Romanian community in Melbourne to join us in this event, which we believe will strengthen the unity and the cohesion of our community.
“Entrance is free and all are welcome,” Pastor Pal said.
The first service of the convention will take place at 5pm tomorrow (Friday) at the Belgrave Heights Convention Centre in Convention Avenue.
Special seminars on various topics will take place at the Narre Warren North church from 9am and celebrations and performances will continue from 5pm, with a focus on young people.
Seminars will continue at 9am on Sunday morning at the church at the last session of the convention will start at 3pm and end with light dinner.
The Romanian Christian Pentecostal Church Philadelphia is located at 8 Rockleigh Park Road in Narre Warren North.
