Men bashed for alcohol

A CRANBOURNE man, 29, received a broken nose, cut to his lip and had his wallet stolen from his pocket during a robbery in Cranbourne on the weekend.
The man and a South Yarra man, 27, were outside a private address at Latrobe Street when a group of four males approached them and asked them for alcohol about 11.45pm on 16 January.
When the two men refused the request for alcohol, one of the offenders struck one of the victims over the head with a bottle.
Police said the Cranbourne man’s wallet was stolen from his jeans pocket and one of the offenders stole a mobile phone from the South Yarra man, which was later retrieved nearby.
The South Yarra man received lacerations and swelling to his head, police said.
The men were described as Caucasian, wore singlet tops and had tattoos.
Anyone with information can contact Senior Constable Mark Higgins at Casey CIU on 9705 3114.
