A TWENTY-seven-year-old Doveton man told police he was threatened at gunpoint in Keysborough last Sunday.
Police were called to a Keysborough hotel on the corner of Cheltenham and Corrigan roads at about 2am after staff noticed a man with cuts to his arms had entered the premises.
When they arrived, the Doveton man told police he was taken to the hotel at gunpoint.
Police said they spoke to the man next to a car in the car park, while four other men stood at the rear of the car. During the conversation they heard a noise under the car and found that an air rifle had been slipped underneath.
They searched inside the car and found an automatic handgun and a machete.
Police believe the five men knew each other.
A 46-year-old Noble Park man, 25-year-old Cranbourne man, 23-year-old Cranbourne North man and 30-year-old Patterson Lakes man have been charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment, blackmail and firearm offences. They will appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 10 May.
