FIRE agencies are reminding Victorians that the fire danger period is not over yet, with temperatures rising last weekend.
State Control centre spokesman Ross Sullivan said that although the rain had provided a welcome relief for firefighters, residents in bushfire prone areas needed to remain vigilant.
“The fire season is far from over,” he said.
