THE new school captains at Strathaird Primary School aim to make the school a better place.
Jessica Bhardwaj and Callum Hawthorne were appointed as this year’s school captains at an assembly last month.
Jessica said she felt proud about being a school leader.
“I am grateful because it will teach me new things and it is a good experience for my life,” she said.
Callum said he hoped to improve the Narre Warren South school and that his fellow students would follow in his footsteps.
The pair were two of 18 students who were presented with their leadership roles and badges for 2010 by principal Martin Shepherd and assistant principal Jo Redi.
