Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road in Narre Warren has been re-opened in both directions between the Princes Highway and the Fullard Road intersection, following critical works over the past 24 hours as part of the Level Crossing Removal Project.

The Level Crossing Removal Project will communicate any further road closures to the community.

The Department of Transport thanks motorists for their patience during these works.

Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road in Narre Warren is closed in both directions between the Princes Highway and the Fullard Road intersection, due to critical works as part of the Level Crossing Removal Project.

There is heavy congestion in the area affecting Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road, Narre Warren North Road, Fullard Road, Shrives Road and Webb Street.

The Department of Planning and Transport is asking motorists to plan ahead for the afternoon peak and to allow extra time if needing to travel in the area.

Drivers can avoid delays by detouring through Hallam via Hallam Road and Pound Road to the west, or through Berwick via Clyde Road and Greaves Road to the east.

Buses on routes 835, 841 and 891 may be delayed in the area.

Passengers are encouraged to check the PTV app for updates.

The Level Crossing Removal Project is working to re-open the road as quickly as possible and will communicate the timing to the community as soon as it is confirmed.

The VicRoads signals team is monitoring conditions in the area and will adjust traffic lights to minimise congestion on surrounding roads.
