Profitable exchange

By Kelly Yates
NETWORKING is the key to success – that was the message from guest speaker Jen Harwood at last week’s Narre Warren Chamber of Commerce networking night at Quest Narre Warren.
More than 30 chamber members and guests turned up to the event on Wednesday night.
Ms Harwood, who has worked with more than 900 companies specialising in leadership, networking skills and business plans, spoke about networking and how to grow a business.
“I’m a freak with networking,” Ms Harwood said.
“I love talking to businesses and helping them. I get all of my work through word of mouth.”
She encouraged Casey traders to learn about networking tools.
“Networking is connecting with others.”
Ms Harwood is based in Bendigo.
The Narre Warren Chamber of Commerce runs the networking nights to allow members to meet other businesses and build contacts.
Secretary Bob Burns said he had received positive feedback from all members who attended the networking night.
“Everyone I have spoken to said they were pleased with the night and the quality of information they received,” Mr Burns said.
The Narre Warren chamber’s next networking night will be held on Wednesday 19 May at Kilgerron Homestead in Narre Warren at 6pm.
Mr Burns said $5 per head was going to the local CFAs.
