Honeymoon heartbreak

WITH memories of her honeymoon gone, Narre Warren’s Shona Truscott is pleading with the thieves who stole her camcorder to have a heart and return the memory disk.
Last week, Ms Truscott lent her father, Kerry, her JVC Averio camcorder so he could use it for work.
“We were in such a rush that I didn’t have time to upload the videos already on the disk, so I just handed it over,” she said.
“We were not expecting that something like this would ever happen.”
On Friday morning, Ms Truscott’s camcorder was stolen from her father’s Kooweerup home.
“When dad called me to tell me about it, I was just devastated,” she said.
“We saved up and went to the US for our honeymoon and the three hours of video was the only record we have of it.”
While she said losing the camcorder was not the end of the world, Ms Truscott said it was important that she got back the memory card.
“We saved for so long and really only used the recorder once,” she said.
“I just want the memory card back – I don’t really care about the camera.”
Ms Truscott said she had reported the theft to police and was hopeful someone would hand in the memory card.
