MEMBERS of Melbourne’s new A-League soccer team put students from Hallam Senior College Sports Academy through their paces when they visited the school.
Melbourne Heart squad member Jason Hoffman and former state player Michelle Le Poidevin shared some tips and answered questions with the 25 boys and 12 girls.
Jason and Michelle worked with the boys squad and modified some training drills before addressing the girls squad for 20 minutes.
Hallam Senior College Sports Academy Soccer Academy Manager Peter Matassa said the students got an insight into what it takes to become better at soccer.
He said Jason revealed to the young players the dedication required to become a professional player.
“Our players were so happy they could chat freely with Jason and Michelle and I could tell they were keen to receive advice,” he added.
