Mosig in the top ten

PEARCEDALE’S Kade Mosig finished 10th during the fifth round of the Australian MX National Championships held in Newcastle over the weekend.
Mosig recorded the second fastest time during the qualifying round but become frustrated in race one when he could not find a way into third position.
During race two he tried to be more aggressive in his approach, but during his second lap, Mosig crashed into another bike, resulting in broken gears which he had to fix, causing him to finish in 26th place.
Adam Bailey, Mosig’s manager, was at the event and said the track was difficult for all riders, so much so, the event was almost cancelled.
“Conditions were quite tricky on the weekend as the track copped torrential rain,” said Bailey. “There seemed to be a lot of mud on the edges of the track, making it much harder to pass.”
Mosig fought back well in race three (8th) to finish inside the top 10.
“ It’s a little bit frustrating for him,” said Bailey. “But he qualified second fastest so we know he has the speed to be up there with the best.”
Round six of the Australian Motocross Championship will take place next month in Albury, Wodonga.
