NARRE Warren firefighters are calling on businesses to donate goods which will be raffled at their upcoming brigade awards night.
Members from the Narre Warren Fire Brigade have been out and about over the past week approaching local businesses in an effort to collect more donations.
The awards night is held every year to recognise and reward the Narre Warren Fire Brigade’s members with awards including length of service awards, a non-operational member of the year award, the Dorothy Balcombe award, life memberships, the captain’s choice award and the prestigious firefighter of the year.
Third Lieutenant Damien Baker said the brigade had received a “very generous response” from businesses.
“But we are still seeking more donations,” he said.
The Narre Warren Fire Brigade’s awards night is on Saturday 19 June.
