Ice skating catches on

THE new ice skating rink at Westfield Fountain Gate attracted more than 600 people during the opening week.
School holiday kids have been having some frosty fun over the past week at the indoor rink, located in the Fresh Food Precinct on level two, during the winter school holidays.
The ice skating rink will run for three months, and is open from Monday to Wednesday from 10am to 5pm, Thursday and Friday from 10am to 8pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
Cost is $5 per half-hour and $2 skate hire.
