Crash baby

By Lia Bichel
A WOMAN who miraculously survived a horror crash near Berwick in February is expecting another miracle in November.
Pakenham resident Rebecca (Bek) Bishop, 28, was unaware that she was one week pregnant when she nearly died in a crash involving her Holden Viva station wagon and a semi-trailer on Princes Highway on 20 February.
After months of rehabilitation, Bek discovered she was 13-and-a-half weeks pregnant.
Because her symptoms coincided with that of head trauma, Bek and medical staff never thought that she was pregnant. “(My husband Nick and I ) finally got excited,” she said.
”We have been married for four-and-a-half years, so it was a long time coming. Now we are ecstatic.”
