Judy leads Lions

By Kelly Yates
JUDY James is the new president of the Endeavour Hills Lions Club.
The Hallam resident was announced as the president during the Lion and Lioness clubs joint changeover dinner on Tuesday 6 July.
More than 20 people attended this year’s changeover event at the Dandenong Workers Club.
Four new members, Lesley Smith, Heather Woods, Margaret Tosh and Narre Warren North MP Luke Donnellan, were also inducted to the Endeavour Hills Lions Club by past District Governor Peter McShane.
Membership chairman Pauline Spry said the club was always looking for new members.
“We are a service club and do various things within the community and overseas,” she said.
“It could be anything from clearing an elderly person’s yard, sponsoring a child on a special camp or purchasing new walking frames for children with disabilities.”
Mr Spry has been a part of the Endeavour Hills Lions Club for 25 years.
“The best thing is the friends you make and the people you help out in the community,” she said.
The Endeavour Hills Lions Club meets at the Dandenong Workers Club on the first Tuesday of each month and on the third Tuesday of the month at the Andrews Centre in Endeavour Hills.
The Endeavour Hills Lioness Club meets at the Andrews Centre in Endeavour Hills on the fourth Tuesday of each month.
