From colourful paintings to embroidered banksia sculptures, the latest South Eastern Contemporary Art Network (SECAN) exhibition is now open.
Running on Saturday 25 May and Saturday 26 May from 10am to 3pm, ‘A Moment in Time’ is a joint exhibition from painter Janine Farinski and embroiderer Jennie-maree Tempest.
President Di Lockwood said everyone was welcome to come check out the exhibition.
“Stepping into the gallery, visitors are greeted by a symphony of colour, texture and emotion, meticulously crafted by these talented artists,” she said.
“The ‘A Moment in Time’ exhibition is a testament to the thousands of moments and decisions it takes to achieve a truly unique artwork.
“It has captured the hearts of hundreds of visitors and delighted numerous new collectors with its enchanting display.”
Ms Lockwood said Farinski’s paintings are “bold and colourful”.
“From the delicate dance of the last autumn leaf drifting to the forest floor to the graceful movement of wings in flight, Janine’s work invites viewers to immerse themselves in the beauty of fleeting moments,” she said.
Ms Lockwood said Tempest’s embroidered banksia sculptures bring a realistic feel to the exhibition.
“Each sculpture embodies the time and patience it takes to create art, as evidenced by the delicate stitches carefully woven into fabric,” she said.
The SECAN Gallery is open every Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 3pm at Akoonah Park in Berwick.
