WOULD-be thieves did not even get away with a sausage last week, following an attempted robbery at a Berwick butcher shop. Detective Sergeant Garry Kear of Narre Warren CIU said thieves left empty-handed after breaking into Tasman Meats on Enterprise Avenue on Friday 3 February between 11pm and 3am.
“They smashed a side window on the west side of the property and entered,” Det Sgt Kear said.
“They went to the cash till and other areas but then left empty handed when the alarm was activated,” he said.
