THE Narre Warren Bowls Club presented a new award to two members this week in honour of one of the club’s founding members, Aileen McKenzie.
The Aileen McKenzie trophy was presented to this year’s mixed drawn pairs winners Dot Farrell and Rudi Pompe on Tuesday.
Narre Warren Bowls Club member Pat Yates said the award was in recognition of how active Ms McKenzie was at the club.
“Aileen was made a life-member at the club. She’s a lovely person and we all thought it was something she deserved,” she said.
The Aileen McKenzie trophy will be handed out each year.
