MARAMBA Primary Sch-ool celebrated their diverse cultural community at the school’s Multicultural Day last Wednesday.
The students at the Narre Warren school were invited to wear national costumes to school or dress in their country’s colours and bring along flags and other things that represented their country of origin.
Assistant principal at Maramba Primary School, Sue Peterken, said the school ran cultural activities on the day including tasting some international foods, flag making and arts and crafts.
“This provided an enriching opportunity for students representing 37 different cultural backgrounds to proudly share and appreciate each other’s culture,” she said.
