A RETAIL assistant in Fountain Gate was robbed at knifepoint on the weekend.
Police believe the man entered a ladies’ clothing store at Westfield Fountain Gate Shopping Centre in Narre Warren about 4pm on Saturday 6 November and approached the lone female attendant.
He asked the employee to change a $10 note and as she opened the till, he produced a box cutter and demanded money.
He then fled on foot with a quantity of cash.
Police said the shop assistant, 21, was shaken but uninjured during the incident.
Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
