Joy to the kids

CASEY City Church is lending a helping hand this Christmas by collecting gifts that will be distributed to children in need.
The church has a special Christmas tree set up at City Edge, Princes Highway. Casey residents are invited to buy a gift for either a boy or a girl, and place it under the tree. The tree will have tags that indicate a specific age group, which will need to accompany each donation.
The gifts will be given to Windermere Child and Family Services, which will distribute them to children.
Karen Alsop from the Casey City Church said the cost of the gifts should range from $5 to $20, and should be something children can enjoy.
“These will go to kids who don’t normally get something special, so it would be great to get something they can enjoy,” she said.
