Man quizzed over rapes

NARRE Warren police interviewed an Albion man last Wednesday in relation to two rapes in the Berwick area.
Detective Senior Constable Brian Whitehead said the rapes occurred a year apart and the 32-year-old man had been released pending a summons.
Police also interviewed a 33-year-old man in Barwon Prison last Thursday in relation to a burglary at a Hallam business last March when more than $17,000 worth of tools were stolen.
The former Grantville resident is currently serving time for other burglaries in the Casey area and a summons is now pending in relation to the latest incident.
