Three tips for spring cleaning…

1) Get supplies.

Before you begin cleaning ensure you have everything you need to do so. Essentials include, a brush and shovel, gloves, disinfectant, bleach, furniture and glass polish, sponges and paper towels.

2) Declutter.

Every few months you should take time out to declutter your home. Before your spring clean is the perfect opportunity to do so. Gather unwanted, old or broken items such as toys, books, bed linen, clothes or even furniture. Sort everything into piles for charity, storage or rubbish. This is the first step for tidying your home. You might even feel a bit refreshed afterwards.

3) Don’t forget the fridge/freezer and pantry.

The most ideal time to do clean out the fridge and pantry is just before you do your food shopping. Take everything out, toss our any items passed their use-by-date and even collect any perishable goods you might not use to donate to charity. Wipe down the inside of the fridge and clean out the crumbs in the pantry.
