Breast cancer is the most common cancer affecting around 18,000 women, 150 men are diagnosed every year in Australia, and the cricket club want to do something to help.
The club will be holding a Pink Stumps Day on Sunday, 13 January when they play Parkfield Cricket Club.
They will be bringing the magic of the Pink Test back into the community.
“We are going to turn our players pink, have a fun day of cricket and raise funds to make life a little bit easier for individuals and families experiencing breast cancer,” Fountain Gate Cricket Club’s Michael Kelaart said.
“Our initiative and goal is to raise as much money as we can.
“We have already gained tremendous support within the South East Cricket and DDCA Community for this amazing cause that affects so many of our mums, sisters and daughters that brings it so close to us all.”
The day will include a two course luncheon .
