The Berwick community gathered for a night of festive cheer at a Christmas carols event on Saturday night, 15 December.

The Rotary Club of Berwick presented the annual Christmas carols event, with up to 4000 people enjoying the night of family fun.

“It was a fantastic evening with many family groups attending,” Rotary Club of Berwick member Isobel Caulfield said.

“It seemed there were more people there than last year and luckily, the weather was very kind to us.”

Students from Berwick Lodge Primary School and Berwick College performed beautifully on the night, along with Bethany Fisher, Melbourne Youth Chorale, Lucinda Da Silva, Dhee and Casey Choir.

City of Casey Mayor Amanda Stapledon was a guest speaker and of course Santa was a huge hit.

Bethany Fisher had all the children dancing and wanting more from her and her dancers.

The fireworks ended the evening and they were the perfect way to say goodbye.

The hard work and inspiration from members of the Rotary Club of Berwick, the Casey Cardinia Rotaract Club, the Inner Wheel Club of Berwick and the Rotary Club of Narre Warren made it all possible.

“The amount of voluntary hours put into the event is incalculable,” Ms Caulfield said.
