A $1.2 million Construction to improve Eddie Baron Reserve in Berwick has officially begun.
The transformation will deliver a range of new and improved facilities including an upgraded multi-use court, a new pump track, a playzone for several age groups and new social facilities such as a picnic and barbecue area.
It will also include a playground that includes a range of play elements and equipment and will also include a flying fox.
Councillor Scott Dowling, said the new designs for the reserve aligns with community response.
“The concept design for the upgrade of Eddie Baron Reserve was developed in response to what the community told us they wanted to see in this space,” he said.
“We also established a senior reference group, including representatives from Council’s Living and Ageing Well inclusion team, to ensure opportunities for senior exercise were well‑integrated into the final design.”
Works are expected to be completed by the end of June 2026.
