Gathering of the Probus clubs

CITY of Casey Probus clubs gathered recently for their annual combined clubs’ luncheon at the Fountain Gate Hotel.
Berwick Central Probus Club hosted the event, which was attended by members from six other local clubs: Berwick Combined, Berwick Ladies, Berwick Men, Cranbourne Combined, Cranbourne Ladies and Narre Warren Combined.
Everyone enjoyed a pleasant luncheon and chatted about the various activities each club had undertaken over the past year.
Combined Probus Club of Narre Warren past president Sandra Grove said Probus clubs were a very successful initiative of Rotary Clubs International.
Ms Grove said Probus clubs in Casey catered for retired and semi-retired men and women and offered a wide variety of activities and interests.
“Many people of retirement age find great satisfaction from their membership of a Probus Club, with many outings and activities to choose from and new friendships with like-minded people,” Ms Grove said.
New members are most welcome in several of the clubs.
For more information about any of the local clubs phone 9704 8341.
