Good wins for Narre Warren

IT was a good day for Narre Warren Bowls Club in RVBA pennant round nine on Saturday with both division four and six enjoying good wins.
Division four, section six played at home against Berwick (5) and a good match resulted with two rinks each shared, but Narre Warren ahead at the finish 14/91 to 4/79.
R. Dixon, N. Hosmer, L. Willcox and G. Duggan (s) lost 17-23. L. Metaxas, D. Randall, R. Naismith and G. Manifold (s) lost 19-24. G. Miller, J. Hewitt, D. Smith and L. McCurran (s) won 26-17. P. O’Day, B. Brewster, J. Green and I. Brotherton (s) won 29-15.
Division six, section six played away against Dandenong RSL (3) and had a very good win on the day 18/105 to -/80.
S. Robinson, H. McCombe, A. Kidd and J. Hickman (s) won 22-19. S. Platt, M. Horton, P. Castricum and J. Henman (s) won 30-26. M. Graham, C. Heath, J. Sheahan and J. Schwennesen (s) won 28-13. J. Uren, R. Bligh, S. Bray, D. Amezdroz (s) won 25-22.
Saturday’s social bowls winners were A. Hartley, L. McGeary, B. Potter and C. Bell (s). Best last-game winners were A. Raile, R. Pigdon and S. Birkett (s).

Tuesday VLBA pennant round nine played at home at Narre Warren against Dandenong City saw a titanic struggle with two rinks each shared, but Narre Warren getting the points 108/82.
J. Fox, B. Baldwin, J. Naughton and E. Gibb (s) lost 19-22. D. Platt, E. Naismith, M. Horton and S. Bell (s) won 38-15. D. McGann, P. Uren, T. Henneman and K. Murray (s) lost 25-30. M. Clancy, W. Haringsma, N. Dickie and E. Arnott (s) won 26-15.
