Rapid rise opens up for Swift

LOCAL artist Andrew Swift will play one of his biggest shows at the Hallam Hotel this month when he supports international rock act Evermore.
Swift, a regular fixture at the Berwick Inn Hotel says he can’t wait to open for the New Zealand trio.
“Evermore is one of the biggest bands touring Australia at the moment,” he said.
“It’s going to be a big night.”
Evermore has had much success in their native New Zealand and Australia with a score of hits including ‘Running’, ‘It’s Too Late’ and ‘Light Surrounding You.’
Swift, former member of local rock act Race The Fray, will perform tracks from his five-track EP due for release in November.
Swift, renowned for performing covers at the Berwick Inn Hotel, says he has been getting plenty of positive feedback about his own songs.
“The response to the originals has been really good,” he said.
Alternative Melbourne band Red Ink will also open for Evermore at the Hallam Hotel, Princes Highway, Hallam on Wednesday, 26 September. The show kicks off at 8pm and tickets are available from Leading Edge Music Pakenham and Fountain Gate for $30.
