CRANBOURNE and District Superules Football Club is eager to recruit players this season.
The club plays 11 fortnightly games per season and is based at Cranbourne Racecourse.
Superules, for players 35 or older, is similar to other football competitions, the main exception being that the use of knees in rucking and marking contests is illegal.
The Superules motto is ‘Football for Fun’.
The metropolitan Superules competition is played in three divisions, and Cranbourne and District plays in division two.
Preseason training has begun and is held every Sunday at 10am at J. and P. Cam Reserve. Wednesday training is at 6.30pm and will begin on 22 February.
Age is no barrier and the club has 50-year-old players.
Cranbourne and District was formed in 1974 as one of the three foundation Superules members and emphasises a family environment, fun, fitness and social activity.
