TWO Narre Warren takeaway restaurants were targeted by thieves earlier this month.
A Webb Street pasta shop was broken into between 11pm on Sunday, 3 September and 8am the next day.
Police said a back window of the restaurant, which backs on to a laneway, was smashed before thieves gained entry.
Nothing was stolen.
In the second incident, a neighbouring takeaway chicken shop was broken into when thieves climbed through a back bathroom window.
Police believe this break-in occurred between 9pm and 8am and said the shop’s cash till was stolen before being left outside the restaurant’s dumpster.
A small amount of coins was taken.
