Three wins have club on high

EVERYONE at Hampton Park was on a high with three wins and a walkover for the week of bowls competition.
It all started with Victorian Ladies’ Bowls Association (VLBA) A2 team gaining a 4-shot win on the Berwick greens.
On rink 11, the team of Joyce Cameron, June Damon, Rob Woff and skip Geri Graafsma were outplayed and suffered a 22-shot loss, 38-6.
Dot Carr, Gwen Clough, Shirley Burnside and skip Heather Naismith slowly increased their lead to win by 9 shots, 27-18.
It was tight, but Gail Wilcock, Rhonda Diaper, Andrew Brandolin and skip Grace Hogan got up by 5 shots, 23-18.
Alan Wilcock, Ellen Smith, Ann Westwell and skip Chris Hendrie kept calm as Berwick made a late run, to win by 12 shots, 27-15.
In VLBA A2, Hampton Park 2/93 d Berwick 0/89.
In the night pennant, Hampton Park hosted Glen Waverley with a win on all three rinks.
Jim Westwell, Andrew Brandolin, Ann Westwell and skip Graham Slight led all the way for a 5-shot win, 24-9.
A five on the last end gave Ray Wood, Keith Damon, Lance Davis and skip Geoff Ladner a 24-6 win.
In a game that seesawed all night, Ray Leggett, Chris Hendrie, Geoff Ampt and skip Neville Hendrie put six ends together for a 3-shot win.
In SDELBA, Hampton Park 12/66 d Glen Waverly 0/40.
The highlight of the week was when the Parkers played the top side Berwick at home and got up by 12 shots.
Les Unwin, Alan Wilcock, Robert Naismith and skip Graham Slight waited till the last to get a four and a win 24-20.
A loss of concentration on two ends cost Heather Naismith, Mark Paton, David Hendrie and skip Neville Hendrie the game, the score 27-18.
The big turnaround for the day came when Vince Kovacic, Fred McBrian, Geoff Ampt and skip Bob Woodfield won the last 10 ends to go from 15 shots down to 13 shots up, 33-20.
Andrew Brandolin, Lance Davis, Ken Cobden and skip Geoff Ladner squeezed out a 4-shot win in a tight game, 25-21.
In Royal Victorian Bowls Association (RVBA) Division Four, Hampton Park 6/100 d Berwick 2/88.
In RVBA Division Seven, Hampton Park received a walkover from Burden Park.
