Fit for pink breakfast

By Ed Merrison
CAROL Bosward and friends are tickled pink to be hosting a Pink Ribbon Breakfast in Narre Warren South.
Carol, owner of ladies fitness and weight loss studio Contours, is looking forward to starting her week with a good deed and a good crowd.
The breakfast will take place from 7am to 9am on Monday, 23 October, with all proceeds going to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Carol and studio co-owner Sandra Rotunno say they would like to see more than 100 people at the breakfast which is also open to everyone for the price of a pink note, also known as $5.
“We have friends and family that have been touched by the illness and thought we’d like to support the cause,” they said.
“Hopefully, the local community will come together to raise money for breast cancer research.”
Cereal, croissants, pastries, juice, tea and coffee are all on the menu and raffle prizes and pink ribbon paraphernalia will also be available.
Carol and Sandra have been at the Contours helm for three months and felt the breakfast would give people a chance to sample its friendly and supportive environment.
The studio prides itself on a “no make-up, no mirrors and no men approach to fitness” so only women will be able to revisit for a work out after indulging in the pastries.
But because every croissant munched is for an excellent cause, the Pink Ribbon Breakfast is a guilt-free blow out anyway.
Anyone interested in attending the breakfast must register by calling Contours on 8794 9670.
The studio is located at Amberly Park Shopping Village, 101 Seebeck Drive, Narre Warren South.
