Bridge woman praised

ENDEAVOUR Hills police restrained a woman on the Power Road bridge in Doveton for more than 10 minutes on Sunday night as they waited for assistance.
Senior Constable Steve Kokas of Endeavour Hills Police said they had been called to the overpass bridge about 7.50pm and held the woman until an ambulance and other police arrived.
Sen Const Kokas said they then lifted the woman back over the bridge railing and she was transported to Dandenong Hospital for assessment.
Police said a woman passer-by had also seen the woman and stopped to talk with her until officers arrived.
She had also assisted police when they arrived by activating the portable radio button for them to communicate with the police station and other police crews.
Police said the woman left the scene before they could obtain her details and they would like to locate her to recognise her efforts and the assistance she provided.
