THE Casey Choir is keen to strike a chord with new members.
The four-part ensemble is on the look out for tenor, alto, bass and soprano singers and is particularly keen to attract more men.
Choir member Sally A’vard joined the singing group 10 years ago and said they were rehearsing songs from many well-known musicals. The choir has about 15 members but Ms A’vard said the choir was keen to double this number.
The group meets every Thursday from 7.30 to 9.30pm at the Old Cheese Factory on Homestead Road in Berwick.
Berwick resident Pamela Thompson is the choir’s musical director and said there was no better feeling than coming together and producing a great sound.
Anyone interested in joining the Casey Choir can call Ms Thompson, phone 9796 1727 or president Patricia Williams, phone 9700 7826.
