NEWLY elected Rotary club of Narre Warren president Ken Larkin said he was taking over a professional organisation where things just happened.
Mr Larkin was inducted as club president at Fountain Gate Hotel on Wednesday 27 June.
He said a person faced a big challenge when asked to lead such a group but it worked because people did things.
He cited as an example the club’s annual Gun Fire breakfast at the civic centre that had grown steadily over two decades.
“Because Rotarians stand up to do these things they just happen.
“I thank the club for trusting me with this position,” he said.
Mr Larkin introduced the new board members, president elect Marion Mason, secretary David Butler, treasurer Ray James, vocational Tim Carswell, bulletin Steve Shutt, past president Garry Denny, community Tim Fisher, international Ian Pickering, and youth Rob Hastings.
