Poll candidate defends Fevola

A SCUFFLE in an Irish pub has been felt by Narre Warren North Liberal candidate Mick Morland.
Cr Morland is using Carlton footballer Brendan Fevola on his campaign material for the upcoming state election and has defended the young man who was involved in a push and shove incident while on the AFL International Rules tour in Ireland last week.
“I coached him in junior football and have a lot to do with his father and mother,” Cr Morland said.
“Brendan is a bit of a character and it’s just a shame that this has happened. He has had such a good year in winning the Coleman Medal and I think this incident has just been blown out of proportion,” he said.
