Keep your cool during the heat

ENDEAVOUR Hills Sergeant John Blackburn warns residents that we are approaching a time of year when there is a ‘spike’ in reports of domestic disputes.
“A combination of hot weather, Christmas and tight finances cause issues to reach a boiling point,” Sgt Blackburn said.
“Families need to take stock of their own safety and sanity in heated situations.”
Sgt Blackburn said that the best thing for people to do during these situations was to walk away and calm down instead of yelling and screaming.
“With the kids home from school and Christmas preparations beginning, parents should look at sharing duties and help each other reduce stress,” he said.
