Schoolgirl attacked walking in park

A 12-YEAR-OLD girl was attacked by a man as she walked home from school in Narre Warren South last month.
Police said the victim was struck twice in the head as she walked through parkland near the intersection of The Promenade and Greaves Road about 3.50pm on Thursday, 21 June.
The girl struggled with her attacker before escaping and running through the park towards her house.
She suffered minor injuries in the attack and was treated at Casey Hospital.
Police said the man was aged in his 20s, of pale complexion, unshaven, of thin build and between 174cm and 182cm.
He was wearing a grey beanie, blue grey windcheater and baggy grey tracksuit pants.
Detective Senior Sergeant Ian Wilcox of Narre Warren Police said the attack was being treated as an isolated incident.
