Thieves pirate CDs

THIEVES helped themselves to a catalogue of CDs when they broke into a Ford sedan parked in Ezard Close, Berwick last week.
Police said the thieves struck between 9.50pm last Monday and 5.30am the next morning and stole a Kenwood CD player, 75 CDs, a cordless drill and power-saw with a total value of $3500.
Narre Warren Detective Senior Sergeant Ian Wilcox urged people to make sure they didn’t leave valuable items inside their car.
“If there are six cars in one area and one has valuables left inside you can bet that will be the first one broken into,” he said.
