A twilight swim meet

CRANBOURNE Indoor Pool will hold its bi-annual Casey Encouragement Meet this Saturday night.
It will be the club’s inaugural twilight meet, following its first encouragement meet of the year was held in April.
It was initially scheduled for the Sunday, but would have clashed with the Cranbourne Cup, so it was decided to bring the event forward a day.
Casey Tiger Sharks media and publicity officer Jo Helm said the club was worried about parking.
“The pool is directly opposite the race track and apparently people park all along the street,” she said.
The event is open to registered and unregistered swimmers from all over Victoria and aims to get more children involved in swimming.
Swimmers that have won an individual medal at a state or national event are ineligible to compete.
Competition starts at under-eight level and goes through to the 14-and-overs. The events range from the 25-metre butterfly to the 200-metre individual medley.
Ribbons will be awarded to all competitors and medals will be presented to the top-three placegetters.
