Three trapped in wreckage

THREE people were trapped in a car for 45 minutes last Friday following a collision in Narre Warren.
The incident occurred about 11.10pm when a red Toyota Corolla sedan with three passengers and a white Ford utility collided at the intersection of the Monash Freeway overpass.
A fleet of six ambulances and a helicopter were used to transport the injured, including a 20-year-old Cranbourne man, who was a rear passenger in the Corolla.
He remains in a stable but critical condition in The Alfred hospital.
The two other male passengers, from Cranbourne and Warneet, received serious internal injuries and were also taken to The Alfred.
The three occupants of the white utility, a female from Blind Bight and two men from Pakenham, were also transported to Monash Medical Centre and St Vincent’s Hospital for treatment.
Police believe that prior to the collision, the red Corolla could have been involved in an incident at Hungry Jacks on Clyde Road, Berwick, and then possibly followed by two other vehicles, one of which was possibly a light-coloured two-door car.
Police are yet to confirm if an incident occurred and if it was related to the collision.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or erratic driving between 10.30pm and 11.30pm along Clyde Road or the Princes Highway is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Glen Waverly Major Collision Investigation Unit on 9560 6555.
