Wouldbe idols to semifinals

FOUNTAIN Gate Shopping Centre hosted its own Australian Idol event last Saturday with 30 singers going head to head in the Australian Idol/Allen’s Are You a Natural semifinal.
Inside Idol host Leah McLeod hosted the event with Idol judge Mark Holden and singer Robert Mills judging the entries.
Children aged between five and 13 years of age had been invited to send a video presentation of their performance to Grundy television studios and 30 semifinalists from Victoria were then chosen to compete.
The talent and competition was so strong on Saturday that three singers instead of two were chosen to go through to the finals.
