A TEENAGER was bashed and robbed during an attack near Narre Warren train station last weekend.
The 16-year-old Cranbourne boy was approached by two men at about 6.45pm last Saturday.
Police said he was thrown to the ground and punched in the face before the assailants rifled through his pockets and stole a mobile phone and MP3 player.
Money was also taken from the victim’s wallet. The boy sustained minor facial injuries during the ordeal.
Detectives investigating the case called the boy’s mobile phone after the attack and a man answered.
The man told police he had recently bought the phone from someone at Narre Warren train station.
Detectives believe this man can help them with their inquiries and are urging him to contact police.
